Fidia renews its Gender Equality Certification in Italy, reinforcing its commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Fidia Farmaceutici has successfully passed the surveillance audit required to renew Italy’s National Gender Equality Certification UNI/PdR 125:2022, reaffirming the company’s long-standing committment to inclusion, equity and the empowerment of its people. The audit also recorded +4 points improvement compared to the previous assessment, demonstrating concrete and measurable progress in gender equality.
The certification, issued in accordance with the UNI-PdR 125:2022 standard by Uniter, a body certified by Accredia, confirms the effectiveness of the policies and practices designed to ensure equal opportunities throughout all stages of professional life, from recruitment and internal growth to work–life balance. This renewed recognition reinforces the milestone achieved in 2024, when Fidia became the first mid-sized Italian pharmaceutical multinational to obtain this certification.
The certification renewals builds on a long-term commitment that has already earned the company national recognition. In 2025, Fidia ranked second nationwide in the first edition of the Italy’s Best Employers for Women 2026 , a survey promoted by Corriere della Sera and Statista, which gathered over 100,000 independent evaluations from current and former female employees of Italian companies.
Among the strengths highlighted were:
- a workforce composed of 50.3% women,
- women representing 39.4% of managerial roles,
- a gender pay gap of -2.6% (compared with a national industry average of 6.9%*),
- advanced welfare policies, including post-maternity coaching and extended paternity leave beyond legal requirements.
These indicators reflect the impact of Fidia’s internal initiatives and contribute to building a wirkplace that is increasingly fair, inclusive and focused on people’s growth.
