At Abano Terme, Fidia’s headquarters and largest production site, we manufacture a wide range of pharmaceutical forms, including vials, ampoules, and pre-filled syringes, as well as multi- and single-dose eye drops.
Production also includes topical products,such as creams, gels, ointments, and moist gauzes, and oral solids, including tablets and capsules.
The Abano Terme plant is also responsible for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) obtained through both tissue extraction and fermentation, as well as biological medicinal products. The Abano Terme plant is authorized by AIFA and is ISO 14001 certified.
The Quality Management System is also certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.

Research and Production site in Noto (Syracuse), with a surface area of 21,000 m².
The site specialises in the study of the production processes of new enzymes, proteins and polysaccharides by fermentation or through biotechnological processes, using non-pathogenic strains.
Specifically: production of HA (Hyaluronic Acid) from GRAS (Generally Recognised As Safe) organisms, through biotechnological processes that have enabled significant improvements in low-molecular-weight HA (LMW-HA); production of enzymes such as collagenase and hyaluronidase as therapeutic proteins or drug-delivery systems.
The site has been authorised by the AIFA since 2013 for the production of active ingredients and therefore holds GMP certification.

We develop and produce systems for oral and dermal drug delivery (skin patches, medicated plasters, lipsticks, orodispersible films).
The site also has gauze and liquid filling lines (solutions, foams and sprays).
The plant is also authorised by AIFA and holds GMP certification and the quality system is also certified to ISO 22716 and ISO 13485.

At Monte Giberto, we produce sterile, periocular gauzes and package food supplements (capsules and tablets).
In our storage centre, which has a capacity of 1,800 pallet stations, we automatically store medicinal products, medical devices, and food supplements for subsequent distribution. With the recent activation of an internal quality control laboratory and the introduction of a new intraocular production line, Monte Giberto is evolving into an integrated centre where production, testing, and logistics combine to deliver value with speed, reliability, and efficiency.
The facility is ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 certified and is also authorized for the wholesale distribution of medicinal products for human use, pursuant to Articles 100 and 108 of Italian Legislative Decree 219/2006 and subsequent amendments and additions.
